3LPE/FBE epoxy powder spraying steel pipe external coating production line

This steel pipe anti-corrosion coating line is engineered to apply protective coatings to steel pipes of diverse diameters. It serves pipeline projects in heating, gas and oil sectors, and supports multiple coating processes: FBE, dual-layer FBE, 2PE, 2PP and 3LPE (three-layer polyethylene).

3LPE Coating Structure The 3LPE coating system comprises three layers:

• Epoxy powder primer layer: delivers strong adhesion and corrosion resistance
• Adhesive copolymer interlayer: bonds the primer to the outer sheath
• Polyethylene outer sheath: provides mechanical protection and insulation

This layered structure delivers outstanding corrosion resistance, ageing resistance and mechanical strength, greatly extending pipeline service life under harsh working conditions.

Three‑layer polyethylene (3LPE) coating represents an advanced outer‑protection solution for buried steel pipelines. It is extensively deployed for corrosion mitigation of oil & gas trunk lines, municipal gas distribution networks, water supply piping and other fluid‑conveying pipelines.

The 3LPE coating improves the mechanical strength of steel substrates, and delivers excellent electrical resistance, water impermeability, abrasion resistance and long‑term anti‑ageing properties.
