Coating Process: 3PE spiral wrapping coating (FBE + AD adhesive + PE), side-wrap extruder
Standard 3PE Process Sequence:
Pipe Loading -> External Shot Blasting (Sa 2.5) -> Pipe Internal Air Purging
-> Pipe End Masking -> Intermediate Frequency Heating (~200deg C)
-> FBE Epoxy Powder Spraying -> AD Adhesive Extrusion & Wrapping
-> PE Extrusion & Wrapping -> Water Spray Cooling -> Joint Cutting
-> PE End Beveling -> Holiday Detection -> Finished Pipe Unloading
Engineered for pipe diameter range of DN426mm - DN2540mm and standard pipe length of 6-15 meters (12m standard), this complete 3PE coating line integrates all process stations from loading through final inspection. Utility requirements include three-phase power supply with transformer sizing at installed power x 1.2 (accounting for auxiliary equipment such as cranes and lighting), cooling water at 26-30 m3/h (<=20deg C, >=0.3MPa), and compressed air at 6 m3/min (>0.5MPa).
The production sequence begins with external shot blasting machine, 2x55kw blast wheels, 850kg/minx2, mn13 wear plates, sa 2.5 grade, 90-300 m2/h (Sa 2.5 grade, 50-90um anchor profile), followed by 1500kW intermediate frequency heating, C-type coil, pure water cooling, 1000Hz frequency heating to ~200deg C. Coating application uses SJ-90/30 single screw extruder, 55kW, max output 100 kg/h for adhesive and SJ-180/33 single screw PE extruder, 315kW, max output 1000 kg/h for polyethylene, both with 38CrMoAlA nitrided screws (0.4-0.7mm nitriding depth, >HV740 hardness).
The FBE station features multi-gun electrostatic spray with (n+1)x2 redundancy and >95% powder recovery rate. Process control is managed by internationally recognized PLC with 10-inch industrial-grade HMI, supporting recipe storage for one-click diameter changeover. VFD brands include internationally recognized options with industrial-grade electrical control components.
Cooling uses water spray quench system, end beveling via rotary peeler knife (~40 sec/pipe with kraft paper masking), and final inspection includes high-voltage holiday detection and thickness measurement. The line requires 4-5 operators and minimum workshop height of 9 meters for large diameter configurations. Free factory layout design and civil engineering guidance are provided as part of the complete solution.
