The flexible polymer pre-insulated pipe features a three-layer composite structure, consisting of an inner pressure-bearing PEX or PE-RT polymer pipe, a middle thermal insulation layer, and an outer high-density polyethylene (HDPE) protective shell.
This pipe is widely used in district heating and cooling networks, industrial process pipelines, as well as pre-insulated piping systems for hot and cold water supply. Thanks to its excellent flexibility, it is suitable for both above-ground installation and direct underground burial, making it particularly ideal for urban infrastructure projects with limited space and high demands for long-term operational reliability.
In the production process, the inner PEX/PE-RT pressure pipe is manufactured and shaped independently in advance. The finished inner pipe then enters an integrated one-step production line, where polyurethane foam insulation and outer corrugated HDPE jacket extrusion are completed synchronously in a single process. This mature technology ensures firm adhesion between layers, stable thermal insulation performance, excellent structural integrity, and corrosion resistance. The final product can be supplied in long coiled lengths, effectively simplifying on-site construction and minimizing pipeline connection points.
The Flexible PEX PE-RT Pre-insulated Pipe Production Line is an advanced equipment for producing polymer pressure inner pipes (PERT, PEX) and insulating the inner pipes with polyurethane foam. The characteristic of this production line is that the pouring process of polyurethane foam is continuous. The inner pipe is continuously conveyed into the pouring area together with the polyurethane foam mixture, then coated and formed with a film, and then passed through a round die head to be coated with the outer protective layer extruded by the extruder.
The pipe coated with the PE outer protective layer can be coiled or cut to a fixed length after passing through the water cooling zone.
