This steel pipe anti-corrosion coating line is designed for applying protective coatings to steel pipes of various diameters. The line is widely used in oil, gas, heating, and water pipeline projects. It can produce FBE, 2-layer FBE, 2-layer PE, 2-layer PP, and 3-layer PE coatings according to customer requirements.

3-Layer PE Coating Structure

1. FBE Epoxy Powder Primer (Bottom Layer) – Thermosetting, non-toxic coating that cures to form a high molecular weight cross-linked structure. Provides excellent chemical corrosion resistance, wear resistance, adhesion, and mechanical strength, forming a continuous coating directly bonded to the steel surface.
2. Adhesive Middle Layer – Typically a copolymer binder based on polyolefin, such as vinyl copolymer adhesive. Polar groups react with the epoxy primer to form strong chemical bonds, while non-polar ethylene groups ensure strong bonding with the polyethylene outer layer.
3. Polyethylene Outer Layer – Provides superior mechanical protection, low water absorption, and environmental durability, making it ideal for buried pipelines.

This advanced 3-layer structure ensures high-quality anti-corrosion protection for steel pipes used in West-East Gas, oil field supply, urban gas, and water pipelines.

Technological Process

1. Upload pipes onto the production line.
2. Convey pipes via screw conveyor.
3. Rust removal with intermediate frequency heating.
4. Apply epoxy powder coating.
5. Extrude adhesive and polyethylene outer layer.
6. Water cooling to maintain coating quality.
7. Convey pipes for end grinding.
8. Unload coated pipes.
