The three-layer PE (3LPE) process utilizes an epoxy powder bottom layer for adhesion, followed by a copolymer adhesive and a polyethylene top layer. This system is widely used for:

The 3LPE coating line is a fully integrated system comprising the following key modules:
Automated Adjustment: Conveyor rollers automatically adjust based on pipe size; unified opening, closing, and angle control.
Intelligent Control: Siemens PLC with a central computer and interactive HMI.
Robust Design: Each wheel set has independent power, allowing a spiral angle of up to 30° and variable transmission speed (0-6 m/min). Solid wide-surface tires (load capacity: 2.5 tons per wheel) with a glue layer thickness >85mm ensure stable, long-term operation.
Surface Preparation: Removes rust, scale, and contaminants to achieve a Sa2.5 descaling grade, ensuring optimal coating adhesion.
Cleaning: Utilizes a fan and pulse back-blowing dust collector to clean dust and abrasives from the pipe surface post-blasting, preventing contamination during coating.
Preheating: Burner heating (gas/diesel) raises pipe temperature to 40-60°C before blasting to remove moisture and grease.
Coating Heating: Intermediate frequency (IF) heating raises the pipe to 180°C - 230°C to meet FBE and adhesive coating standards.
Application: Stainless steel coating room equipped with electrostatic powder guns and a fluidization powder box.
Recovery: Dual cyclone collecting structure paired with a pulse-blowback cylinder dust catcher for efficient powder recycling.
Layering: Extrudes the adhesive and outer PE/PP layer onto the pipe. Available in cladding or wrapping types (side or upper configuration) to suit different production layouts.
Rapid Cooling: Cools the coated pipe from high temperatures down to 40-60°C using a water cooling room, tower, and pump system to protect the newly formed anti-corrosion layer.
End Finishing: A double-head high-efficiency machine that removes the coating from pipe ends, forming a groove (<30°) for easy field welding. Includes steel brushes, polishing motors, and a high-efficiency dust collector.
3 layer PE anti-corrosion coating consist of first FBE coating, middle adhesive layer, and outer polyethylene layer.
