To effectively address the issue of brittle pipe joints cracking under extremely cold conditions, the factory has procured an advanced heat shrink tape production line from Qingdao Huashida to enable independent manufacturing of high-quality products. The severe climatic conditions in Russia, where winter temperatures can drop as low as -50°C, impose stringent requirements on the low-temperature shrinkage performance and crack resistance of heat-shrinkable materials. Previously, the factory relied on imports from European suppliers. However, due to supply chain disruptions caused by the Russia-Ukraine conflict and Western sanctions, coupled with the inability of domestic products to meet extreme cold-weather specifications, the factory shifted its procurement strategy to China.
With its dual strengths—equipment manufacturing expertise and in-house production experience—Huashida has emerged as the preferred supplier. To meet the challenges posed by extreme cold environments, Huashida has optimized the plasticizing process and material formulation of its equipment, significantly improving the low-temperature toughness of the produced tapes. This ensures no risk of cracking at temperatures as low as -50°C. Following successful customer validation, a contract was signed on-site, marking a significant milestone in the domestic substitution of high-end heat shrink tape technology.
